Opus Energy’s 2015 charity highlights

Last year was a great one for charities at Opus Energy. With special events and fundraising planned for most months, the company saw a huge surge in donations to our chosen charities, Rainbows Children’s Hospice and Guide Dogs UK, among others.

We’ve compiled an overview of our charity highlights from 2015.

April- Challenge week

In April, all departments took part in a Charity Challenge Week which included cake sales and fancy dress, and much more! Much-needed funds were raised for our charities; Guide Dogs UK and the Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Northampton.

December- Christmas Raffle/Dress down

December saw another dress down in the run up to Christmas. On top of this, there was a raffle and a ‘family portrait’ competition which encouraged departments within the company to send in group pictures of themselves with their teams for judging.

Over the course of the year, Opus is proud to say that, together, we have raised a monumental £24,833.00!

We’d like to thank everyone who has been involved with fundraising events over the past year, and look forward to an equally benevolent 2016.

Next on our list is the London Marathon which we’re hoping to send a number of employees to, in support of Guide Dogs. Watch this space!
