Opus Energy sponsorship deal kicking off for Northampton Town Football Club

Opus Energy is delighted to announce that we are the new back-of-shirt sponsors of Northampton Town Football Club.

NTFC is a club that’s close to the hearts of many of our employees, with the majority of our 700-strong workforce based at our headquarters in Northampton.

The sponsorship is beginning in conjunction with the start of the 2015/16 season, and Opus Energy will be proud partners of the fondly-known ‘Cobblers’ for the upcoming two years.

“I am delighted and proud that we will be wearing the Opus Energy name on the back of our shirts for the next two years,” commented David Cardoza, Northampton Town FC Chairman.

“To be able to team up with a successful, Northampton-based company like Opus Energy can only benefit the club. I know a lot of Cobblers supporters work at Opus Energy, and we are looking forward to closely working with it over the next couple of years.

“As we are an expanding football club, Opus Energy has also expanded rapidly over the last few years and this is an ideal time for us to work together for our mutual benefit.”

With the Northampton workforce increased with up to 100 new hires throughout 2015, it goes without saying that Opus Energy is honoured to be part of such a uniting force within the local community.

“As a local employer we’re keen to contribute to our community,” added Andy Nash, Operations Director at Opus Energy. “We have been based in the town since 2002 and many of our employees are avid Northampton Town fans, so it’s great to be able to support the local team in this way. With up to 100 new recruits this year, we’re sure to have even more staff cheering them on soon!”

The Opus Energy team received their personalised team shirt at the Northampton Town grounds in May 2015, at the first of many NTFC matches that we’ll be very happy to attend.

Here’s to a prosperous two years, for the NTFC team and Cobblers supporters alike!
