Chantelle took the belt at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, where she competed in the women’s 60kg category and walked away with the belt – making this the second time she has won an ABA crown.

“It was an amazing feeling winning the title,” Chantelle told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. “I was seeded No. 1 and I knew I was the one everyone in the tournament wanted to beat.”

“It just spurred me on and put the fire in my belly to make sure I wasn’t beaten.”

The 23 year old took on Hatty Nylon in the semi-finals, and was quickly victorious against Sophie Colebourn in a unanimous decision in the grand finale.

“It has really lifted me and made me feel so proud to bring the belt home to Northampton as nobody in the midlands won in the final except me,” Chantelle added.

Cameron won’t be taking any time to rest on her laurels, however, as straight after her win she jumped on a plane to head to another tournament in Spain.

Opus Energy has been the official sponsor of Chantelle Cameron since August 2013, when she joined us with a number of national and international achievements under her belt after just two and a half years competing in the sport.

Prior to this, Cameron was the undefeated British and World kickboxing champion, with an astounding five title belts to her name.

Speaking about her partnership with Opus Energy, Chantelle said: “It’s an incredible boost to be chosen for sponsorship by a local company like Opus Energy. As well as supporting me with my day-to-day living, I hope that their sponsorship will also help to shine more of a spotlight on boxing.”
