Blog: season’s greetings

Well this is my last blog before we break up for Christmas and I would like to send Seasons Greetings to all of my fans, supporters and sponsors who have continued to encourage me through a challenging year.

As the season draws to an end my own training is still gaining momentum and it is really good to be training all six apparatus again. I am finally tumbling and vaulting again after receiving the all clear from my medical team and as soon as I get my endurance back then I can start working on some new routines on both floor and vault to add to the new routines I have built up on the other apparatus. In the new year I hope to start putting my new routines together in preparation for the new competition season.

On Sunday I will be attending the BBC sports personality of the year in Birmingham which I have had the privilege of being a guest and a performer at over the past four years. It is always a highlight in any sporting calendar enjoyed by both fans and athletes as we look back on another successful year of British sport.

In my next blog which will be my last for 2010 I will review not only my own year but also my highlights of a very successful year for British gymnastics.

Cheers, Dan
