returning from the Japan Cup in Tokyo I have been back training in Huntingdon trying out some new skills and generally coming down from competition mode. It’s been a relaxed couple of weeks for me, but it was also great to see Daniel Purvis and Louis Smith continue with their excellent form last weekend by picking up a silver medal each on floor and pommel horse at the Korea World Cup event in Goyang City.

Apart from gymnastics I was also invited to take part in a 2012 celebration event at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden where I had to perform my pommel horse routine amongst other professional performers in front of a packed house.

I was just a little bit nervous but I managed to go through my routine clean and got a huge cheer when I finished. Now here’s the cool bit; I had to perform my routine at exactly 12 minutes past 8pm (20:12)!

Cheers, Dan
