Blog: 14 weeks into rehabilitation

Well after 14 weeks of rehabilitation, I have been given the green light from my surgeon to start running again. He is very pleased with my progress to date so I am currently pushing on with my rehab.

Training is going really well and I have now started working on the other apparatus in the gym. However, my main focus is still to build the strength in my legs and increase on my overall condition. I am working really hard to get back to where I was; I even have the blisters to prove it!

At the moment the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the World Championships in Rotterdam are the main focus for everyone in the gym. The guys are working hard to perfect their routines and I am planning a trip with my parents and girlfriend to watch and support Team GB in Rotterdam. I am really looking forward to it, as there is a real buzz in the gym at the moment.

Also this month I received an invite to the British Olympic Ball on the 24th September in London. It promises to be a great evening as I will get to meet a lot of great Olympians past and present.

Well that’s about all for now, speak to you all soon.
