Charlie Crossley Cooke, Chief Executive of Opus Energy, talks about the charitable work that Opus Energy undertakes.
“At Opus Energy we’re keen to offer our employees the opportunity to achieve their personal challenges, whilst raising money for charity at the same time. I feel that it’s important to support our staff as they push themselves to their limits in order to accomplish their individual goals, whilst also getting involved in helping the local community.
“In 2013 our employees voted to fundraise for Mencap and we have pledged to raise £10,000 for the charity; Opus Energy will match the amount raised. We’ll also be supporting Rainbows, a local hospice for children and young adults. We’re pleased to support these charities as we wanted to directly support the local community – the charities are of vital importance to so many people in Northamptonshire.
“Prior to this we supported the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CF) Trust; since 2010 we managed to raise just over £46,000 for the charity, which is truly fantastic.
“I extend my thanks to all of our employees for the innovation and dedication that they have shown towards the CF Trust over the last few years, and wish them the best of luck with their fundraising for Mencap and Rainbows Hospice over the next year.”
